As a member of the management group, you will have the opportunity to influence the academic unit's operations and ensure that the students' voice is heard.

Each academic unit has its own management group, and according to the University of Vaasa regulations, their tasks include:

Positions of trust

In addition to the Representative Council, the Student Union elects a Board each year to be responsible for the operational activities of the Student Union. The Board term is a calendar year, and we look for applications annually in October-November.

In accordance with the University Act, students have representation in the university decision-making bodies. The administration student representatives (also referred to as HallOpEds) in the administrations of the University, VOAS and FSHS are elected every other year. We also occasionally have application periods for administration student representative positions mid-term, as student representatives are relieved of their duties for instance due to graduation.

For more information about the Student Union's organization and possibilities, see the organisation section of our website.

The student organisations also offer a wide range of activities and opportunities to get involved. You can find a list of organisations in the Organisations section of our website.
