Do you want to rent your apartment to students?

You can notify the Student Union of the University of Vaasa about your available apartment through the form Notice of rental apartment for students.

We update the notices on our website once a week, excluding general holidays when the update time may be 2–3 weeks.

Please note that VYY acts only as the updater of the information. The Student Union cannot guarantee that your notice will lead to a lease. VYY does not take responsibility for students' ability to pay rent or any other matters between concerned parties.

Is your apartment suitable for flat-sharing?

If the apartment you’re leasing is suitable for several students, you can use the discount offered by partner KämppisFinder and get 10 % off the listing price!

Create your landlord account on KämppisFinder, list your apartment, and claim your discount with the code VYY10. Normal price is 50 euros (incl. VAT). 

Have you found a tenant?

If you have found a tenant for your apartment, please notify us via e-mail either at paasihteeri@vyy.fi or viestinta@vyy.fi, so that we can remove the notice from our website.

Are you going on exchange and want to rent out your apartment for your exchange period?

Please check the dropdown under For exchange students. Our partner Flatta offers all University of Vaasa students a 25 % discount from service fees when you sublease your apartment through their service. Remember to negotiate subleasing with your landlord before listing the apartment.

Are you leaving for an exchange or coming to Vaasa as an exchange student? Our partner Flatta offers a 25 % discount for all University of Vaasa students from their service fee to both landlords and tenants who rent an apartment through them. 

Students at the University of Vaasa get a 25 % discount from the service fee by sending their transcript of records to support@flatta.fi. This is done to check your student status.

Please note that if you are looking to sublease your rental apartment to an incoming exchange student, you must negotiate subleasing with your own landlord before listing the apartment.
