VYY signs Seta comment on conversion practices ban

In their meeting on April 17, VYY’s Executive Board decided to co-sign LGBTIQ Rights in Finland Seta’s comment on the ban on conversion practices. The Parliament of Finland approved the citizens’ initiative aimed at banning sexual orientation and gender identification conversion therapy in Finland.

“We demand that the Justice Minister immediately begins preparations for submitting the bill to ban conversion practices according to the Parliament decision”, says Chair of VYY’s Executive Board, Jenni Hiltunen.

VYY has been Seta’s supporting member since November 4, 2019, after the representative council unanimously supported the initiative.
