Wellbeing Week 2018

The joint Wellbeing Week of VYY and the University of Vaasa will be celebrated on campus from 29 October to 2 November 2018.

Wellbeing Week is an eventful week jointly organized by the university and the student union for the entire university community. The event program is aimed at both students and staff. The theme of Wellbeing Week 2018 is physical well-being. Also follow the week's Facebook event!

Wellness Week Program

ALL WEEK

  • Explore the University Sports Services for free – all shifts are available during the Wellbeing Week without a sports sticker! Follow the information about sports services on the sports services website and FB pages.
  • Wasa Sports Club (Palosaari) and Ladies Club & Spa (city centre) gym + group exercise classes are available free of charge to students and staff Mon–Fri 8:00–21:00, Sat 10:00–18:00 and Sun 12:00–21:00.
  • Vegetarian theme at Restaurant Erkki all week
  • Daily tip "Myths about nutrition"
  • Drop-in ergonomics clinic at Vuokko Cabinet in Tritonia Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00
  • During the week, there will be an opportunity to explore and try out different sports on campus (weather permitting)
  • You will receive a stamp on your wellness passport (1 stamp / day) from the Wellness Week events, collect 2 stamps and enter the raffle! Prizes include: university products and products from partners.

MONDAY 29.10.

  • 11.00–13.00 What’s Up VYY: Wellness Week @ Tritonia – Discover the Wellness Week’s offerings and give feedback on the sports services!
  • 18.00 Warrant’s interdisciplinary säbä tournament @ Ruutikellarintie 2 (Vamia) – Come watch the matches and cheer on your team to victory!
  • 19.00–20.00 Yoga @ Wärtsilä-sali

TUESDAY 30.10.

  • 8.30-9.15 Morning stretching @Wärtsilä hall (student hall)
  • 11.00–13.00 Mini fair @ Mathilda hall
