The voting in the Student Union of the University of Vaasa’s (VYY) Representative Council elections concluded on November 6, 2025, at 6 p.m. The elections determined the composition of the Student Union’s parliament and highest decision-making body, the 30-member Representative Council, for the next two-year term.
Election Results and Leading Lists
Among the electoral alliances, Warranttilaiset emerged as the largest group, winning 10 seats in the council and receiving the highest number of votes in the elections. Tuttilaiset and the newly established Hallarit alliances followed as the second-largest groups, each securing six seats.
A total of 135 candidates representing seven different electoral alliances stood for election.
Voter Turnout and Electronic Voting
The overall voter turnout was 21.56%, which represents a 2.44 percentage point decrease from the 2023 elections, when turnout stood at 24%. The advance voting turnout was 15.04%.
