VYY’s new Executive Board has been appointed

The Representative Council of the Student Union of the University of Vaasa (VYY) convened for the last time in 2025 in December. In the second part of their organization meeting on 9 December 2025, the elected formateur Heidi Elers presented the Representative Council with the formation process and her proposal on the composition of VYY's Executive Board for 2026.

The Representative Council accepted the formateur's proposal and appointed Executive Board members for 2026.

In the Board next year are:

Heidi Elers: Chair of the Board
Sanni Rytkönen: Vice-Chair, organizations
Mimmi Eskelä: municipal affairs
Vilja Haapaniemi: social affairs
Helin Karatag: internationality and tutoring
Teemu Kuoppamäki: educational affairs
Fiia Männikkö: corporate relations and member services
Lovisa Nieminen: events

"I can't wait for next year to start so we can begin working together. I believe the upcoming year in the Board will bring on fantastic opportunities, lessons, and challenges. I want to thank the Representative Council for their trust and of course cooperation and support during the formation process", Elers comments.
