Housing in Vaasa in the fall 2026

The University of Vaasa has compiled information about housing and accommodation options for students.

Some new students are still looking for an apartment or are queuing for one. The University of Vaasa has collaborated with various actors to provide students with as many housing and temporary accommodation options as possible at the start of their studies.

It is still worthwhile to apply for VOAS apartments, even if you have not received an apartment from the beginning of the academic year. The apartments are currently in high demand, but the apartments will also be available later in the academic year. Read more on VOAS’ website.

It is also worth looking for an apartment outside the city centre and the campus area, as commuting in Vaasa is smooth both by bus and by bike. Cohabitation may be a good option, as larger apartments are easier to find than studios. The Student Union is collaborating with the KämppisFinder application, which allows you to find a roommate and search for an apartment together. 

Temporary accommodation is also available. The University of Vaasa has negotiated contract prices for students to stay in GreenStar Hotel Vaasa.
