Big Heart Award

The Big Heart Award is the University of Vaasa's equality and non-discrimination award.

The award can be granted to a person or group who has promoted the realization of equality and non-discrimination in the university community, for example:

• in everyday activities in teaching, student communities and leisure time
• in taking others into account in coffee table discussions, including the choice of language and topic, so that everyone can participate in the discussion.

A member of the university community can nominate a member of the Vaasa university community or an external person or group whose activities are closely related to the University of Vaasa as the recipient of the award. The nomination must include:

• name of the nominee
• who is being nominated
• reasoning why the nominated person or group deserves the Big Heart Award.

Nominations for award recipients can be submitted by 31.10.2018 to the Equality and Non-Discrimination Group using the e-form.
