The Executive Board of the Student Union of the University of Vaasa (VYY) has decided to form an International Committee for the Student Union. The Committee aims to make the Student Union and the university community genuinely accessible, equal, and international for all students.
Tasks of the International Committee include advancing the situation and wellbeing of international students, developing internationality and intercultural interaction, and participating in cooperation with the European network EUNICE. EUNICE aims to solve societal challenges by strengthening education and internationality. The International Committee will work in English.
VYY is looking for International Committee members who want to learn more about international affairs, make a change, and be an active part of the Student Union. VYY’s Executive Board member responsible for internationality will act as Chair of the International Committee, and the Committee will include approximately five other members. VYY is looking for members to act as Vice Chair, responsible for events, and responsible for communications. VYY hopes that the Vice Chair can commit to the project for two years and participate in EUNICE representative trips.
The application period is open between 23 February and 8 March 2026, and you can apply by filling out the electronic application form.
