VYY’s Board for the year 2025 has been selected

The Student Union of the University of Vaasa (VYY) elected had its last RepCo meeting of the year. The chairperson designate Jenni Hiltunen presented her draft for the Board composition in the second part of the meeting, on 28.11.2024. Hiltunen described the Board forming process as well as the suggested Board Members for the year 2025. 

The proposal was approved unanimously without voting. Therefore, Heidi Elers, Julius Pentti, Katarina Roivainen, Aleksi Rönkä, Maaria Salminen, Juuso Tynjälä and Joni Virtanen were elected as Board Members for the year 2025. Hiltunen will be the Chair of the Board.

“I am really excited about the upcoming year. I believe that next year will be full of opportunities and I am also looking forward to tackling new challenges. I would also like to thank the Representative Council for the seamless cooperation and all the support I received during the formation process,” comments Hiltunen.

The board is responsible for the operational activities of the Student Union. Board members will be assigned responsibilities in their first board meeting in January 2025
